I commented that Gdansk is one of the most expensive cities in Poland and we must keep in mind that in August, prices rise dramatically, as it is high season and also the dates of Wedding Fairs are held San Domenico, which is an internationally known festival and there are a lot of tourists at this time.

We have been looking at accommodation in Gdansk and we feel very good and also very cheap (with breakfast costs about 20 euros per person) is the hostel "Dom nauczyciel."

double rooms are no longer free (it is August!), But there are 3 rooms can be booked for two people. (The price is very good) - 45 euros per room.
This morning my mother went there to see the building and rooms. Everything is newly renovated and the truth is that it looks good. All rooms have baths.
The hostel is well located (near the center) - look on google maps.
To give you an idea for a double room in a hotel for 2 or 3 stars out to about 70 euros ... at this price you can find many sites ...
